This small family operated business owned by George Grant once started off growing hydrangeas, fuchsia baskets, natives, and many other general lines. As the climate started changing in Melbourne, George made a decision to explore a new direction in drought tolerant plants, where he found a niche market in Phormium New Zealand Flax and Ornamental Grasses.
Phormiums and Ornamental grasses became very popular due to the architectural aspect about them which enhanced modern homes and gardens and required little maintenance, and landscapers loved the instant appeal when they were mass planted.
The latest project that we have introduced is our new Espalier Nursery. Espalier is the art of training plants to grow flat against a wall supported on a lattice, framework or fence. Our Espalier fruit trees are a must for anyone seeking to fill up small garden space with a controlled yet beautiful plant variety.
